Yesterday, Lia had her 6 month check up with Dr. Taylor. She is 25 3/4 inches long and weighs 14 lbs 5.6 oz. She had to get her next round of vaccinations plus a flu shot, so 4 shots and one oral vaccine. She did really good and was able to calm down pretty quickly after it was over. She fell fast asleep on the ride home. She was worn out!

Here are some things Lia is doing at 6 months:
-Having 4 bottles per day, averaging about 22 oz. of formula per day
-Eating rice cereal and fruit for breakfast
-Eating veggies for dinner
-She dislikes carrots and green beans, she prefers squash and peas. She also likes bananas and applesauce.
-She used a sippy cup for the first time this week and did good drinking a couple oz of "juice" which is mostly just water with a splash of apple juice in it
-She sits up all by herself now!
-She loves to play in her exersaucer. She likes to bang things and plays more with toys that make some kind of noise.
-She loves her Baby Neptune dvd and laughs every time the turtle puppet comes on the screen.
-She learned some new sounds and tries to blow bubbles with her tongue.
-She doesn't mind tummy time now. She has started to try to put her legs underneath her like you would in the crawling position, so I guess that will happen soon.
-She is drooling like CRAZY! Dr. Taylor said to expect her first tooth pretty soon.
-She goes to swimming lessons once a week and likes the water.
-She goes to bed at 7:00 pm and sleeps until about 6:30 am.
-She takes 2 or 3 naps a day, either 2 long naps (1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hrs) or 3 shorter naps (45 min to an hr)
-She gets really excited when Daddy gets home from work and gives him her biggest smiles!
-She still loves Miller and Gus. She likes it when Miller licks her, and she put Gus' tail in mouth the other day (yuck!)
Lia never fails to amaze us every day, and we are continually grateful for the gift God has given us in such a beautiful, happy, and loving daughter!
